Roz is AI rostering software for Australian medical and vet clinics. It builds the roster around qualifications, rest hours and who's in surgery today, so a sick call doesn't become a morning of phone tag.
Vet teams at VetHQ and The Village Vet roster with Roz.
14-day free trial · no card · up to 3 clinics from $79 a month (incl. GST).
Tag each person with what they're qualified to do. Set which roles need which tag. Roz flags any shift given to someone without it.
Minimum rest between shifts and weekly hour caps are checked on every change. No one quietly tips over their limit.
Ask "Who can cover Rachel's surgery shift Friday?" Roz suggests available, qualified people within their rules and messages them once you approve.
Add consult, surgery, reception and nursing roles. Tag vets, nurses and techs with their qualifications.
AM and PM sessions per day, with the headcount each needs. Roz treats short sessions as gaps.
It places people inside availability, respects part-time contracts and RDOs, and spreads weekend and late shifts fairly.
A sick call comes in. Roz proposes the swap — for example, move a surgery nurse to AM and call in a casual for PM. You approve it and Roz messages them.
Every surgery shift needs the "surgical" tag, every X-ray shift needs "radiation licence".
Set how many vets and nurses you need on call each night and weekend. Roz shares on-call out fairly and applies your rest rule after it.
Set the vets and nurses each list needs. Roz flags a list that's short before you publish.
Add locums with their dates. Roz only places them on days they're booked.
Roster a separate on-call or emergency line for after your clinic closes, with its own rest rule.
At least 10 hours between an on-call finish and the next start.
Keep part-timers inside their contract.
CPD days, conferences, planned leave.
"Dr Lee always does Tuesday surgery." Roz keeps it.
Roz warns before anyone works too many days straight.
Vet clinics usually roster under the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award (MA000118). Medical and allied-health clinics usually roster under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award (MA000027). Roz doesn't interpret either award or calculate on-call allowances, but you can set on-call and rest rules, and Roz flags a roster that breaks them. Check your own obligations on the Fair Work Ombudsman website.
Roz doesn't track licence or certification expiry dates. Keep a qualification tag current, and remove it when it lapses. Roz also doesn't interpret the Animal Care and Veterinary Services Award or the Health Professionals and Support Services Award, and it doesn't do timesheets, on-call allowances or payroll.
Yes — vet clinics are a core use case. Vet teams at VetHQ and The Village Vet roster with Roz. It handles surgery and consult teams, on-call, qualification tags and rest hours, and helps you find cover when someone calls in sick.
Yes. Set a rule that a role needs a qualification tag. Roz flags any shift given to someone without that tag, and its own proposals work inside the rule.
Not yet. Qualifications are tags you add and remove. Roz checks the tag, not an expiry date.
Staff can tell Roz they can't make a shift. The request lands in your approvals queue, and Roz suggests available, qualified cover who are within their rules.

Yes. Staff use the Roz app or get messages on WhatsApp or Telegram, and confirm each shift.
Your roster data is stored in Sydney. Roz's AI runs on Claude, made by Anthropic, which doesn't train on your data. Roz suggests changes, and no roster change goes out until you approve it. Read more on our security page.
